Recognizing and paying tribute to Louisville’s music heritage

Louisville’s Own Band (The Band of Bands) originated to recognize and pay tribute to Louisville musicians, vocalists, and bands and their musical efforts during the fifties, sixties, and seventies. Louisville’s Own Band is a non-profit organization offering membership to these fantastic entertainers.

Members are encouraged to submit their music and pictures for approval to be posted on this website and shared with our community.

Throughout the year, events such as luncheons, dances, and fund raising events will be planned to not only bring members together, but to also raise monies for various charities and worthwhile causes. Performances, recordings, and other activities involving members will also be scheduled with all monies raised from any and all sources, after operating costs, being donated to various causes and charities.
